This impressive overture mellows into an elegant heart of fine balsams, wherein the gourmand beauty of benzoin and myrrh contrast a nutty and herbaceous lentisque absolute sitting atop an ambery pedestal of patchouli and labdanum. The theme darkens as it swells, engulfed under somber notes of smoked frankincense and an animalic whiff of dry leather, despite their shining a faint glimmer of sage absolute and the sweet murmur of sandalwood.
